JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database and ETL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in redeveloping existing MSSQL stored procedures, writing .NET code related to ETL processes, and optimizing database performance. Additionally, the candidate should have a deep understanding of cloud architecture as it relates to databases and proven experience in this field.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in database development and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in MSSQL, including writing and optimizing complex stored procedures.
  • Strong experience with .NET programming, particularly in the context of ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in .NET Core and ASP.NET Core for developing APIs and microservices.
  • Deep understanding of database performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, and their database services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven experience in managing and optimizing large-scale databases.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and YAML development is a plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or other ETL tools.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for database deployment and management.
  • Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Database Administrator, AWS Certified Database - Specialty).

Responsibilities
  • Redevelop and optimize existing MSSQL stored procedures to improve performance and maintainability.
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using .NET and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Develop robust and scalable .NET applications to support ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET Core to facilitate data integration and processing.
  • Analyze and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing strategies, and resource management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design scalable database solutions.
  • Implement and maintain cloud-based database solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for database and ETL processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in database management, .NET development, and cloud architecture.
