This is the job We are seeking a Senior .NET Engineer to design, build, and scale enterprise-grade applications. This role focuses on modern architecture, system reliability, and business impact, with opportunities to lead technical decisions, mentor peers, and drive engineering excellence in a collaborative environment. This is you 5+ years of professional software development experience with deep C# and Microsoft .NET expertise Proven experience building modern web services/applications using ASP.NET Core Solid understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and common design patterns Experience with SQL-based data stores (e.g., SQL Server) and ORMs like Entity Framework Hands-on with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) with an emphasis on human review, correctness, and maintainability English - Upper-Intermediate level or higher Nice-to-have skills: Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) Familiarity with distributed systems, messaging, or event-driven architectures Familiarity with secure-by-design development practices, including applying OWASP guidance within modern CI/CD pipelines Experience in regulated/high-reliability environments (e.g., financial services, legal, healthcare) This is your role Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using C# and .NET 6/7+ Contribute to architecture and technical design, balancing scalability, performance, and maintainability Build and consume RESTful APIs and event-driven services, integrating internal/external systems Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions Lead code reviews and mentor mid-level engineers to improve team quality and velocity Diagnose and resolve complex production issues via root-cause analysis and long-term fixes What awaits you at Avenga?
