This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located at customer’s site. No relocation is offered.

AT&T is hiring to support a US Government Program that provides IT Services to US Strategic Command located in Omaha Nebraska.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Extensive experience (typically 7-10+ years) in network architecture and engineering, with a strong background in designing and managing complex network environments.
  • Certifications: Advanced certifications such as Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of networking technologies, protocols, and standards, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, SDN, and cloud networking.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design efficient and effective network solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate network strategies and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Education: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale network architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency with network management tools and monitoring systems.
  • Ability to lead and manage complex network projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Our Senior Network Architect’s earn between $78,800 - $170,979. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
Responsibilities

Network Design and Architecture:

  • Develop comprehensive network architectures that support the organization’s current and future needs.
  • Design scalable, resilient, and secure network solutions, including LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud networking.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to align network strategies with business objectives.
  • Conduct network assessments and gap analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.

Implementation and Integration:

  • Lead the implementation of network projects, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Oversee the deployment of new network hardware, software, and services.

Performance and Optimization:

  • Monitor network performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Optimize network configurations to ensure high availability, low latency, and efficient resource utilization.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement network security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Design and enforce policies for network access, data protection, and threat mitigation.

Documentation and Standards:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of network architectures, configurations, and procedures.
  • Develop and enforce network standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and reliability.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Work closely with other IT teams, including systems administrators, security teams, and application developers, to ensure cohesive network integration.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers and administrators.

Vendor and Technology Evaluation:

  • Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions to enhance the organization’s capabilities.
