As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining primarily Cisco networking technologies. Your expertise will extend beyond network technologies to encompass F5 load balancers and Cisco route/switch administration, Palo Alto firewalls, as well as Cisco Unified Communications suite of applications. This is a HYBRID role, work on-site in Chantilly, VA as needed and also work remote-telework. US Citizenship is required to apply. Key responsibilities: Design and Implementation: Create solutions that seamlessly integrate with legacy and strategic technologies Provide installation, implementation, and support services for site networking Consult on the best product selection for each project’s needs Peripheral Support: Handle ancillary systems, including but not limited to Call Accounting, Call Recording, Cisco ACD, analog voice, faxing, etc. Support Meraki Wireless and network products and solutions Familiar with datacenter and network cabling and connectivity Support Cisco ACI/CWOM and other datacenter technologies Voice Infrastructure: Experienced in multiple versions of Cisco Voice products Understand voice technologies such as POTS, TDM, VoIP and wiring Act as the final escalation point (Tier 3) for voice-related issues Troubleshoot through Call Detail Records (CDRs) Network Equipment: Experienced in multiple versions of Cisco products Act as the final escalation point (Tier 2 and 3) for network related issues Troubleshoot through network management platforms Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of Fluke meters, tone generators, etc. for troubleshooting Effective communication across multiple levels of an organization Knowledge of telco/ISP circuit delivery and test/turnup activities Minimum Qualifications: A relevant degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science, Technical, Engineering, Education and Training, Communications, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Technology, or Telecommunications. Certifications (any): CCNP, CCVP, CCNA, CCIE, IAT, TLS, EAP, CCDP, CICD, CE, Network+, Security+, etc. Five years of network/ telecommunications experience Basic troubleshooting of network and telecommunications equipment US Citizenship is required. Desired Skills: Experience with Cisco Meraki product line Experience with Cisco ACI, CWOM, IWO and datacenter operations Experience with Network management platforms Familiar with F5 load balancers Familiar with Palo Alto firewalls and SD-WAN Experience with cabling, dark fiber and CWDM/DWDM.
