What we are looking for:
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day network support and operations, including WAN/LAN, telecommunications, audio/video systems, and network security (firewalls, IPS, etc.). In this role, you will provide expert advice on planning, design, and implementation, and oversee the installation and maintenance of network infrastructure. Your contributions will ensure that the capacity, reliability, and availability of IT network services meet the organization’s requirements.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support and operations for WAN/LAN, telecommunications, audio/video systems, and network security.
  • Advise on planning, design, and implementation of network infrastructure.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure capacity, reliability, and availability of IT network services.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network maintenance and administration, preferably within a financial or enterprise environment.
  • PCNSE or PCNSA certification required; CCIE certification is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls, including design and management of firewall deployments, policy management, and response to security alerts.
  • Extensive knowledge of Cisco network gear and datacenter switches, with expert-level understanding of industry standards and technical developments in switching, routing, and network protocols.
  • Experience with virtual context/virtual system firewalls, including upgrading, troubleshooting, and clustering.
  • Proficiency in network protocols such as OSPF, IGP, BGP, HSRP, and QoS.
  • Previous experience with centralized management of network devices.
  • Familiarity with next-generation firewall and wireless security.
  • Strong understanding of VoIP telephony, specifically Cisco Call Manager, is a plus9.
  • ITIL experience or working knowledge is an asset.
  • Expertise in network analysis using tools such as Wireshark, with the ability to perform reporting and troubleshooting in high-pressure environments.
