Job Description We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer – LAN to join our global network operations team. This role focuses on supporting and maintaining enterprise LAN environments, with a strong emphasis on routing, switching, and network security. You will work with Cisco Nexus platforms, troubleshoot network issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure and reliable network infrastructure. Responsibilities Support, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across medium to large enterprise networks. Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document solutions. Collaborate with global teams to design and implement network changes following best practices. Work with firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring tools to ensure network availability and security. Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams. Participate in on-call rotations and support incident response activities. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in medium-to-large enterprise networks focusing on IP routing, switching, and security principles. Strong knowledge of MPLS, OSPF, and BGP, and how they interact in complex networks. Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS (IOS-XR and Nexus OS preferred). Experience with Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k switches, ASR 1000/9000 routers, and Catalyst platforms. Knowledge of Palo Alto Network firewalls and SSL-VPN. Exposure to large data center designs, inter-office routing plans, site-to-site VPNs, FW/ IPSec implementations, and monitoring. Ability to connect lab equipment, perform proof of concepts, and document solutions with diagrams. Proven operational success with a data-driven, analytical approach to solving complex network challenges. Nice to Have: Experience with telecommunications technologies: VoIP, RTP, SIP peering/trunking, SBC. Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, SIEM, IDS/IPS monitoring, and TCP/IP traffic analysis. Knowledge of Linux network functions and SaaS/Cloud-based environments.
