Senior Network Engineer | Melbourne CBD |

Our client is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to design, build and support a network that spans enterprise, cloud and Operational Technology (OT) environments.

This is a hands-on role with a strong Azure focus. You’ll be involved in extending the network, connecting data centres and working with a team that is moving to new switching technology.

• What you’ll doDesign, implement and support enterprise network and cloud connectivity, including Azure VNet peering and ExpressRoute
• Create and manage dual ExpressRoute connections and dedicated IP bridges
• Manage and secure traffic with Palo Alto firewalls and Azure Firewall
• Support the move from Cisco to HPE EX switching
• Troubleshoot complex incidents and carry out root-cause analysis
• Support network security and segmentation across IT and OT environments
• Take part in the on-call roster (allowance paid)

• What you’ll bring4+ years’ experience in network or infrastructure engineering across multi-site enterprise environments
• Hands-on Azure networking experience, particularly ExpressRoute (a formal Azure certification isn’t required if you have the experience)
• Strong routing and switching skills, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP and OSPF
• Palo Alto firewall experience
• Exposure to OT or industrial environments is highly regarded
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide technical leadership
• Scripting in PowerShell or Python is a bonus
