About the role We have an opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to be part of our Technology & Communication Services Command. This role provides high-level network engineering support for a diverse range of data and communications network infrastructure, including core networks, and remote site connectivity. This involves overseeing the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of NSWPF network and performance. This position is responsible for design, implementation and support of network and security infrastructure supporting NSW Police Force 24x7 operations. In this role you will be required to provide expert knowledge across core networks and connectivity services, telephony, network security and service continuity platforms. You will play a key role in translating conceptual designs into operational solutions, driving deployment of technology projects and supporting resolution of complex operational incidents, while improving overall service reliability and performance. About You We are looking for a proactive passionate network specialist who enjoys solving complex technical problems, committed to keeping abreast of emerging technologies and brings experience in design, onboarding and support of systems that impact mission critical services. To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience in designing, maintaining and supporting enterprise grade network environments across voice, data, video and security services. Strong knowledge of network protocols, LAN, WAN & Routing, cyber security principles, service performance monitoring, capacity planning and disaster recovery solutions. Ability to effectively document and share technical knowledge with cross functional teams. Commitment to delivering high quality customer service and providing expert advice on technology solutions aligned to business needs. Proven ability to lead change and improve service delivery through continuous improvement and innovation.
