✅ REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in large-scale WAN deployments (60+ sites).
• Strong hands-on expertise with DMVPN, BGP, QoS.
• In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto Networks technologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues across diverse environments.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to remote mining sites.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Experience with Megaport and/or SD-WAN technologies.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Approximately every 2 months, the Senior Network Engineer will be expected to visit remote mining sites across WA, QLD, and NSW for 2–4 days. All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a highly capable Senior Network Engineer to support a major global network transformation initiative within the mining sector. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The project involves deploying a Megaport WAN and connecting over 60 remote sites using DMVPN.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and deploy a multi-site WAN across Australia, Indonesia, India, Canada, USA, and Chile.
• Implement and manage DMVPN, BGP, and QoS configurations.
• Define and maintain network architecture including routing, security, and connectivity.
• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS, Panorama, GlobalProtect).
• Produce clear and concise documentation.
• Participate in after-hours change management as required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership.
