Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Network Engineer, to join one of the leading companies specialized in engineering, architecture, and program management for public and private clients. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and enhancing LAN/WAN infrastructure—including routers, switches, and firewalls.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER INCLUDE:

  • 10+ years of experience managing distributed network systems, with deep expertise in Cisco technologies and large-scale infrastructure.
  • Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNP or Meraki CMSS, or equivalent practical knowledge in advanced networking and security.
  • Strong background in software-defined networking (SDN/SD-WAN), particularly within Meraki environments and Cisco Secure Connect integrations.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern network protocols and architectures, including SASE, Zero Trust, BGP, VXLAN, and Cisco Nexus/Catalyst platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent hands-on experience in enterprise networking environments.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure including Cisco Nexus switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and Meraki SD-WAN across a distributed enterprise environment.
  • Administer and optimize Cisco data center networks using Nexus switching platforms within an Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) framework.
  • Lead and coordinate network infrastructure projects focused on enhancing LAN/WAN and IP telephony systems through hardware and software upgrades.
  • Manage and maintain Cisco Meraki devices (MX, MS, MT, MR, MV, MG) to ensure reliable performance across a large-scale, multi-site network.
  • Implement and support advanced network security frameworks such as Cisco ISE for access control and integrate SASE and Zero Trust models using Cisco Secure Connect.
