REQUIREMENTS

• 6+ years of experience deploying and maintaining Cisco based networks
• Deep understanding and skill for developing python scripts to achieve network deployment and discovery outcomes
• Deep understanding of network architecture, basics of network fundamentals, network management platforms
• Experience with NGFW, next-generation firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, or Fortinet preferred)
• 50% travel within the US

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance is required

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Network Engineer (US based) will perform onsite and project-based consulting with various customers to implement and support Cisco based networks. Your first project is a full-time position with one of our federal customers maintaining and managing a large enterprise infrastructure. This role will require travel of approximately 50%.

• Manage, maintain Cisco network environment in the enterprise
• Lead a network discovery initiative to discover and document current enterprise network to include architecture, inventory details like model, serial number, software version, EOL information
• Develop tools to achieve the discovery mentioned above
• Update documentation for the Customer in terms of network diagrams
• Provide expert level recommendation to Customer based on their network architecture
• Provide knowledge transfer and informal training to clients
