Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a  Senior Network Engineer to join the Network team in Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions on a fixed-term, full-time basis. This fixed-term position will last until 18 December 2026. We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in the design and support in a medium to large scale service provider environment supporting 20,000+ network attached devices and 24/7 service availability.  The candidate should have experience across a wide range of technologies with in-depth technical knowledge while at the same time understand the bigger picture with a strong customer-focussed work ethic.  Ō pūmanawa - About you We’re looking for someone who has: * Proven expert knowledge and experience in design, support and troubleshooting of large-scale Cisco SDA networks, ISE policy design, data centre, internet and wireless networks and technologies. * Even though you are a technical expert in multiple fields, you like to keep on learning and expanding your technical knowledge. * Proven experience in technical support and troubleshooting methodologies and the use of tools and resource available. * Experience with Agile Methodology. * Experience in communicating technical information to different target groups.  * You are a team player and like to share knowledge with team members.   In return, we offer:   * A fast-paced environment with plenty of variety. * The opportunity to play a pivotal role in the technologies we deploy in order to always provide a world-class service to our customers. * The opportunity to grow in experience and knowledge while working on the latest technologies.
