Texas Instruments is seeking a Senior IT Network Engineer to plan, architect, design, budget and implement LAN, Wireless and WAN network solutions for its Manufacturing and Enterprise locations, across multiple platforms and protocols to support TI’s business needs. The engineer will also participate in day-to-day operations support as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Minimum current CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated experience with networking technologies, concepts, protocols including but not limited to Layer 2 LAN & Wireless switching, Layer 3 routing, and WAN & Cloud technologies.
  • Preferred vendor hardware, configuration and software experience: Arista campus and datacenter architecture, HP/Aruba wireless technologies, Cisco LAN switches, and WAN routers.

Responsibilities
  • Gathering customer and system connectivity requirements used as inputs into building resilient network solutions.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders/suppliers/vendors, both internal and external, to ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Ownership of factory, design, datacenter and sales office network documentation and plans for their area(s) of the infrastructure.
  • Collaborating to develop technology roadmaps, considering business needs and in alignment to overall IT strategies.
  • Supporting and troubleshooting network faults during break/fix activities and events.
  • Periodic review of network capacity, usage and health metrics for respective area(s) of responsibility to plan for upgrades or performance adjustments.
  • Collaborating with other IT groups to understand the future requirements for network capacity at TI’s locations.
