The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Network Product Specialist to join the team in Dallas, TX.
This position will support all Boeing subsidiaries within the Network Design and Operations function. The selected candidate will partner cross functionally with all levels from individual contributors to executives as well as various organizations within Boeing.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 7+ years of experience working in data centers, network designs and/or architecture
  • 5+ years of experience working cross functionally
  • 3+ years of experience with systems architecture
  • 3+ years of experience in a formal or informal lead role
  • 3+ years of experience with IT product strategy
  • Experience working with cloud products (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS, etc.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • Current cloud certifications (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS, etc.)
  • Current network certifications (CCNA, CCNP or other Cisco)
  • Experience working to obtain approvals for funding
  • Experience working on a global team
  • Experience working with network design
Responsibilities
  • Leads the identification, analysis and documentation of requirements for network transport technologies and services
  • Leads and organizes the creation and documentation of network designs
  • Researches, develops, documents and deploys emerging technologies and techniques.
  • Prepares, deploys and coordinates installation of complex implementation packages
  • Leads the maintenance of network systems
  • Develops and implements cost control action plans based upon review of internal and sourced infrastructure
  • Leads and coordinates high level implementation planning for strategic multi-technology insertion projects
  • Performs activities to identify and pursue market opportunities for Information Technology products
  • Leads customer engagements and analyzes customer, competitor and market data to develop Information Technology (IT) product strategy, concepts and capabilities
  • Develops business case and product plans
  • Oversees creation of business and functional requirements and product roadmaps
  • Works with other IT professionals to ensure requirements are met
  • Obtains funding and approval to develop products
  • Supports product demonstrations, value propositions and represents/promotes IT products internally
  • Adjusts product capabilities and strategy to meet financial targets
  • Analyzes, integrates and refines strategic requirements to provide input into the network design process
  • Acts as a technical expert in the creation and documentation of strategic designs
  • Leads the research, development, documentation and deployment of emerging technologies and techniques
  • Prepares, deploys and coordinates installation of advanced implementation packages
  • Acts as an expert in the resolution of advanced and complex maintenance problems
  • Supports strategic budget and business plans and develops and implements multi-technology action plans
  • Coordinates multiple engineering projects to ensure successful implementation and reduce total cost of ownership
