We are currently looking for a Senior Network Consultant to join our team.
You will be responsible for business engagement, translating business requirements into technical solution designs, and providing technical ownership of solutions from the design phase through to Production.
You’ll create technology roadmaps that support the IT Strategy and ensure technology solutions on which the business depends are fit for purpose, resilient, highly available, secure, and scalable. The role includes architecture governance, co-ordination and translation of business requirements, design, planning, configuration, optimisation and enhancement of the technology and system platforms.

ACCREDITATIONS:

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate clear knowledge across the following infrastructure technologies:

  • Networking and connectivity (TCP/IP,DNS, VPNs, reverse proxies, routing)
  • Enterprise Security (firewall configuration, IDS/IPS, encryption)
  • Network Monitoring toolsets (Solarwinds, Tivoli)
Responsibilities
  • Given a set of business requirements create an Infrastructure design and document knowledge within the M247 tool which meets the requirements and is in line with M247 Infrastructure. Specific business non-functional requirements will include performance, security, reliability and availability of service
  • Implementing designs within the agreed timelines of a project
  • You will create infrastructure building blocks, architecture patterns for other architecture domains to consume.
  • Develop and define infrastructure according to industry trends and best practice
  • Ensure that the capacity planning process for the key systems is managed efficiently. Approval of the capacity plans and, potentially, infrastructure purchases based on future capacity requirements
  • Perform infrastructure audits with third party contractors. These will include asset management, disaster recovery and servicing of the infrastructure
  • You will be an escalation point for Managed in life Network support
  • You’ll need to ensure that infrastructure solutions proposed by third parties suppliers meet M247 business and technical requirements and the M247 strategy and vision for future initiatives
  • Analyse the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies in the infrastructure and recommend solutions for improvement
