Team members are encouraged to build meaningful relationships with residents while maintaining high standards of professional care and safety.Role Description The Senior Night Carer is a full-time, on-site role based in Swanland, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality care during night hours. The role includes providing personal care and support to residents, monitoring their wellbeing, responding promptly to any needs or emergencies, and ensuring a calm, safe environment throughout the night. The Senior Night Carer will supervise night staff, allocate tasks, and ensure care plans are followed and recorded accurately. Additional responsibilities include administering or assisting with medication in line with policies, completing night-time checks, maintaining clear communication with daytime teams, and supporting residents with dignity, respect, and compassion.Qualifications Experience in residential or domiciliary care, including night shifts, with a strong understanding of person-centred care principles.
• Skills in supervising care teams, delegating tasks, and providing guidance and support to colleagues.
• Competence in record-keeping, reporting concerns, and following care plans and safeguarding procedures.
• Medication administration training or willingness to undertake relevant training, with attention to detail and safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with residents, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, manage emergencies appropriately, and maintain a safe environment at night.
• Relevant care qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care) or equivalent experience; willingness to pursue further training.
• Basic IT and documentation skills for updating care records and reading care plans.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to meet any necessary background checks and reference requirements.
