Description Concept Solutions is hiring a Senior NOC Engineer to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Information Technology (AIT) Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) Services under the ITIPSS contract vehicle. The position provides a 24x7x365 automated monitoring, alerting, services performance, reliability, and optimization for infrastructure in FAA facilities and applications in production. Requirements Responsibilities • Develop and respond to system alerts and notifications, coordinating response and recovery activities, and developing after action reports • Communicate, coordinate, and facilitate ad hoc conference calls among service and system Subject Matter Experts to resolve service interruptions affecting AIT services • Facilitate or chair technical meetings, take detailed notes, and write after action reports • Review and respond to events reported by customers or monitoring tools • Resolve technical problems without the intervention of management or more experienced technical specialists • Identify and inform management of problems requiring their attention and develop and recommend techniques to address problem situations • Meet with customers to identify requirements and appropriate levels of service • Develop and follow standard operating procedures as needed • Utilize applicable tools and technology including SolarWinds, ServiceNow, Splunk, Windows, Linux, Teams, Outlook, OneNote, and Zoom • Apply predictive analysis methods to anticipate issues before they occur, reduce service interruptions, and maximize service uptime • Initiate service interruption notices and other communication to AIT stakeholders • Conduct forensic analysis and problem resolution for complex issues Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and/or other IT degree (engineering, math, and science related degrees are considered acceptable alternative degrees); eight (8) years of relevant experience. Education/Experience Substitutions The following substitutions may be considered at the Government's discretion: • A Bachelor's degree in a pertinent discipline is generally equivalent to a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience. • A Master's degree in a pertinent discipline is generally equivalent to a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience. • For positions requiring a Bachelor's degree, a High School Diploma plus four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be generally adequate. Preferred Qualifications Amazon AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate; Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals; SolarWinds Certified Professional; proficiency with Python, PERL, and PowerShell development.
