Description

AND IN RETURN

The rewards for our Nurses are great. Our roles offer greater flexibility in working patterns, more autonomy with decision making, the opportunity to build close relationships with the residents in your care in a consultative, case-management role.
The Trust is a great place to work; we’ve been providing care for almost 1,000 years and we’re currently the second largest not-for-profit provider in the UK. Not-for-profit means that we reinvest every penny we make into our residents, colleagues and the care homes we live and work in. Therefore, we offer a great range of benefits, including a competitive salary, training and development.

Here are some of the other benefits you will enjoy as a valued member of our team:

  • 30 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
  • Fully funded renewal of your NMC PIN
  • A company pension
  • Free uniform
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Blue Light Card and “My Rewards” programme, offering you discounts on shopping, days out, restaurants and much more

Responsibilities

Are you a Nurse who thrives on making a real and positive difference to the lives of older people and has supervisory experience?
Are you qualified with a current NMC pin?
Our care teams make a real difference every day and your professionalism, teamed with kindness and compassion, will be at the core of everything you do. The role of Senior Nurse is pivotal within our homes. You will support the Home Manager with the management of the home, with a particular emphasis on clinical nursing leadership which can involve making critical decisions and managing clinical issues within a person-centred care model. The role holds responsibility for the quality of nursing assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure that our residents receive an excellent standard of care.
You will be responsible for leading, motivating and managing your team, actively monitoring and supervising care practices to ensure that high standards of nursing and personal care are met and, where necessary, you will provide clinical guidance and leadership.
Nestled in the town of Coleford lies The Coombs offering residential, nursing and respite care to 36 residents. Originally built in 1856 as a private residence, the home was renovated 100 years later and transformed into a care home.
