JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in our nursery setting. You will lead a team of practitioners, ensuring that the nursery environment is safe, nurturing, and conducive to learning. Your expertise in early childhood education will be essential in fostering the development of each child while maintaining effective communication with parents and staff.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
  • A background in early childhood is essential, along with relevant qualifications in childcare or education.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, enabling effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Experience working with children of various ages, understanding their developmental milestones and needs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the individual needs of children.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Ensure compliance with all safeguarding regulations and health and safety standards within the nursery.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s development.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to support children with additional needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of nursery practices.
