Description

An architectural firm specializing in multifamily, is seeking a highly experienced Architectural Director with deep expertise in NYC multifamily projects, to oversee and mentor project managers, improve layout efficiency, and ensure full compliance with city codes and standards.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding project managers through complex design and planning processes, editing architectural plans, and offering expert insights that lead to better outcomes in space utilization, compliance, and construction feasibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in architectural design for multifamily residential buildings in New York City.
  • Expert knowledge of NYC Building Code, zoning regulations, Dept of Building filing procedures, and related compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience overseeing or mentoring project managers or junior architects on large-scale developments.
  • Strong eye for design and space planning, with a track record of optimizing layouts for both tenant experience and cost efficiency.
  • Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
  • Ability to review and redline architectural drawing sets with precision and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in giving constructive design feedback and compliance recommendations.
