Job Description
ACCIONA Agua is a global leader in sustainable water solutions, specialising in the design, construction, and operation of water treatment and desalination plants. The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Operations & Maintenance Engineer to lead the operational management and technical development of our water treatment and desalination projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day O&M activities across water treatment and desalination assets
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies
  • Monitor plant performance and optimise operational efficiency
  • Lead technical investigations and implement solutions for process improvement
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Support tender processes and transition projects into delivery
  • Supervise engineering development, including digital design environments
  • Prepare technical reports and engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development

Required Skills and Competencies

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline
  • Extensive experience in process design and operational management of water treatment and desalination projects
  • Proven leadership in supporting tenders and transitioning into project delivery
  • Strong capabilities in supervising engineering development, including digital design environments
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in technical report writing and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic project environments
  • Willingness to travel interstate and internationally as required
  • Spanish language skills are advantageous
