DESCRIPTION

Priory Hospital Roehampton, is looking to recruit a Senior Occupational Therapist (CAMHS Eating Disorders) to join the team Priory Hospital Roehampton offers calming and recovery focused residential treatment for up to 100 service users, as well as day care and outpatient services. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Senior Occupational Therapist (CAMHS Eating Disorders) , you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

  • Able to effectively and accurately update clinical records and computerised information systems as directed by the Occupational Therapist in a timely manner.
  • Also having the ability to support Occupational Therapists with interviews and shortlisting.
  • Observe record and report patient’s involvement in 1:1 and groups.
  • Ensuring any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff and documented in an appropriate manner.
  • Having compassion for the patients and their situation.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an inpatient mental health setting or in a similar role, with the ability to complete initial assessments and checklists. They will have facilitated groups such as psycho-educational sessions, DBT-informed interventions, goal setting, or life skills. A proven track record of contributing insight to multidisciplinary teams and supporting formulations is essential. While working towards an Occupational Therapy qualification to degree level or equivalent would be desirable, it is not essential. Additional skills or training in Autism, DBT, or life skills would also be advantageous.
