ABOUT THE ROLE

Older Peoples Mental Health services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team who provide ongoing recovery oriented assessment and treatment through case management, aimed at improving the quality of life for older people with mental health needs living in the community.
This team sits within the community of Orange which facilitates access to a broad range of clinical and non-clinical services to enable people to establish, re-establish or reclaim a hopeful and meaningful life in the community.
Orange, with a population of 40,000, it is a major regional city with a true provincial feel. Located in Central West NSW, just over 3 hours from the capital and nearby coast lines, it has a regional airport which runs regular flights to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Orange is reputed as one of NSW’s premier wine and food regions. It has a mild temperate climate with warm summers and cool winters with snowfall. Many health professionals choose Orange as their home as it offers prestigious schooling, affordable housing and land, a lifestyle where you can spend more of your precious time with family and friends, greater opportunities for community involvement, along with employment growth in health care, social assistance, retail, education and training.
In Orange you can enjoy life without the challenges of metropolitan living.
