JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Senior OCI Cloud Services Architect to assist with the design, review, and implementation of Oracle OCI services and solution offerings. The architect will collaborate with customer agencies, managed cloud suppliers, and internal agency teams to deliver secure, efficient, and compliant solutions based on best practices and well-architected frameworks.
This role requires strong experience in cloud architecture, operations, and management, specifically within Oracle’s OCI environment. The candidate should be highly skilled in reviewing technical solutions, assessing IT security controls, and designing enterprise cloud architectures that align with business priorities.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of IT experience, including enterprise architecture and cloud implementations.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle OCI.
  • Oracle OCI certifications (Cloud Ops, Architecture, Security, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures and security methodologies.
  • Experience with operating system/application migrations to enterprise cloud environments.
  • Expertise in cloud networking architectures (VPN, subnets, NSGs, load balancers).
  • Skilled in scripting and automation using Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub, etc.
  • Experience with configuration management and monitoring tools (Fleet, Puppet, OCI Monitoring, Splunk).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native services: containers, serverless, functions, DBaaS.
  • Familiarity with security and regulatory frameworks (NIST, PCI, CJIS, FedRAMP).
  • Ability to create architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently under deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
Responsibilities
  • Design and review Oracle OCI cloud services and solutions.
  • Provide guidance on cloud-native architecture paradigms, security methodologies, and best practices.
  • Evaluate proposed changes and projects for technical accuracy, fiscal responsibility, and security compliance.
  • Collaborate with agencies and cloud providers to ensure architectures meet business and security requirements.
  • Implement, migrate, and manage enterprise operating systems and applications in cloud environments.
  • Create architecture diagrams, design documentation, and cloud reference models.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, PCI, CJIS, and FedRAMP.
