* Based either at our Burwood or Geelong Campus with a required day at the Waterfront Campus each Wednesday, a flexible on-campus day on Tuesday and work from home for the remaining days. * Full Time & Fixed Term until 28 June 2026 * HEW 6 $100,128 - $108,130 + 17% Superannuation Join the Finance & Travel team as a Senior Officer, Finance Services to manage complex financial processes while delivering exceptional customer service. Partnering with stakeholders across the University, this is a key role in addressing escalated enquiries, the management of credit card transactions and upskilling staff in using our financial system, Workday. As a Senior Officer, Finance Services, you will: * Manage and resolve Tier 2 level enquiries escalated from Deakin HELP, providing detailed resolutions and support for complex issues. * Oversee the reconciliation and tracking of credit card transactions, ensuring adherence to financial policies. * Support the effective use of the financial system Workday, including training staff on system use and best practices. * Implement strategies to promote positive emotional wellbeing across the team and regularly reflect on own behaviour * Provide ethical advice to clients that address underlying issues, promoting value-adding insights and recommendations * Deliver high-quality customer service ensuring timely and effective resolutions on enquiries. To be successful, you’ll have: * A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. * Strong background in financial services, particularly in managing complex financial processes and enquiries. * Experience using and supporting enterprise financial systems, especially Workday, including conducting staff training and troubleshooting.
