MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE: To assist the Manager Ground Operations Safety with the oversight of flydubai Ground Operations/Cargo & Network Control safety issues. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists in increasing safety through the identification of trends and hazards within ground operations.
• Processes and monitors all Safety Reports, with emphasis on Ground Operations/Network Control. Provide feedback and recommendations for review when applicable.
• Collates and prepares data for Safety analysis and presentation in Safety meetings such as the General Safety Action Group (GSAG).
• Prepares Safety promotional material for use in Ground Operations/Network Control including generation of new methods of media to enhance engagement.
• Conducts outstation Safety Assessments of Ground Operations throughout the flydubai network, including Dubai, and produces detailed Assessment Reports for each Safety Assessment.
• Assists safety investigations related to ground operations as directed by the safety team.
• Carries out post-incident assessments when required to verify corrective and preventative measures provided are effective.
• Assists with Safety Management Systems processes within Ground Operations/Network Control.
• Follows up with Ground Operations/Network Control on the progress of Safety Investigations and ensure that corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.
• Assists in conducting analyses and studies of incidents trends to support safety improvement initiatives.
• Collects data and assist with preparation of Safety Performance Indicators and other Regulatory items.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree (3+ years)
• Degree in Safety Management, Aviation Safety or Industrial Safety or related fields
• Fluent in English
• 5 years of aviation experience, of which at least 2 years in airport / ground operation role. Knowledge in Safety Management
• Years with qualifications: 5 - 7 years
• Ability to obtain a Permanent Pass for Dubai Airports and hold or obtain a current Dubai Driving License that can be used to obtain a Dubai Airports Airside Driving Permit.
