As Shamal Holding continues to grow, we’re in search of a Senior Officer - Legal, Governance & Compliance. In this role you will act as the co-lead department administrative resource and provide additional support to Department team members and the wider business on a daily basis. Responsibilities Understand and use legal jargon and possess an understanding of constitutional documents. Act as the co-primary coordinator to facilitate the renewal of the entire Group trade licenses and the setup of new entities which involves reviewing and amending constitutional documents, collating notary documents. Act as the co-lead organizer and liaison officer for the CEO/SR and the Notary of key constitutional documents. Maintain updated lists of records for all companies within the Group including drafting and creation of corporate structure charts for all entities. Act as the co primary resource for key Department matters such as filing, collating and saving on the Legal drive all relevant documents, upkeep of various document and task trackers, leave records. Act as the co primary resource and facilitator to facilitate the stamping and execution of all legal agreements and documents. Deal with all Department administration work on a daily basis including initial legal requests from the wider business Schedule meetings, organize diaries and respond to telephone queries. Draft, proofread and organize memos and legal summaries. Prepare legal correspondence, reports, and other documents for Group on litigation matters. Write policies and procedures where appropriate to improve the performance of the Department. Review, organize and facilitate payment of all Department invoices including maintaining a tracker and log of all payments made. Reviewing, tracking and liaising with the Finance Department in respect of the Department budget. Reviewing, tracking and updating the Department Learning and Development team initiative and liaising with team members to ensure compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Law A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Proven experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or similar role in a legal setting/background. Proficiency in legal terminology and familiarity with legal documents and processes. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Previous experience and expertise in PowerPoint and Visio would be preferable.
