Description

The Project Finance team focuses on renewable energy project finance through the Green for Growth Fund (GGF), which now has close to EUR 1 billion in assets. The team has led several award-winning transactions across its target geographies, including for senior debt and structured equity, and maintains a strong, actionable pipeline in rapidly growing, nascent renewable energy markets. The team is seeking Senior Officer – Project Finance (with suitably experienced Associate‑level candidates also considered) to support the expansion and ongoing monitoring of GGF’s growing portfolio of renewable energy assets, which currently includes the Western Balkans, Turkey, the Caucasus, Ukraine, Moldova, and six countries in the Middle East and North Africa. Key responsibilities: * Screen, structure, negotiate and execute new investment transactions, primarily senior debt project finance structures and minority equity investments * Actively contribute to business development efforts, including origination and early-stage structuring, including direct engagement with sponsors, developers, lenders, and co-investors * Lead the development of investment proposals and other submissions to the GGF Investment Committee. The Senior Officer role entails full transaction leadership and accountability, Associates support transactions under supervision. * Manage transaction advisors, including legal, technical, market, insurance, and environmental and social * Assess, structure, and justify risk-return-impact trade-offs, including credit risk, construction risk, regulatory risk, and E&S considerations, in line with fund strategy * Lead the development of financial models for transactions * Lead the negotiation of key finance or transaction documents * Monitor and report on assigned financed transactions in the GGF portfolio * Provide guidance and quality control for junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of team tools, templates, and processes.
