Description
  • Design and implement production-grade OpenShift Container Platform environments across bare metal, virtualized infrastructure, and supported cloud platforms.
  • Lead or support cluster installation, expansion, configuration, upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and disaster-recovery readiness.
  • Engineer highly available control-plane, infrastructure, ingress, compute, and storage-node topologies aligned with workload and failure-domain requirements.
  • Integrate OpenShift with enterprise networking, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, proxies, registries, identity providers, PKI, secrets-management, and storage platforms.
  • Configure and troubleshoot cluster networking, routes, ingress controllers, network policies, service connectivity, certificates, and east-west/north-south traffic flows.
  • Implement platform security controls, including RBAC, Security Context Constraints, compliance profiles, image governance, vulnerability management, audit logging, and cluster hardening.
  • Build repeatable platform deployment and operational workflows using Ansible, GitOps, Terraform, Helm, operators, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, capacity management, backup, recovery, and operational runbooks using enterprise observability tooling.
  • Diagnose complex incidents involving etcd, operators, nodes, containers, networking, storage, performance, scheduling, and platform dependencies.
  • Produce architecture documents, implementation plans, configuration standards, as-built documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials; mentor client and internal teams.

Must haves

Required qualifications

  • Five or more years of Linux infrastructure experience, including at least three years of hands-on OpenShift or Kubernetes platform engineering in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of supported OpenShift 4.x releases, operators, Machine Config, cluster lifecycle, oc/kubectl administration, and core Kubernetes concepts.
  • Deep practical understanding of Linux, containers, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, load balancing, firewalls, routing, and software-defined networking.
  • Experience integrating enterprise storage through CSI; familiarity with block, file, object, and software-defined storage patterns.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot high-impact production issues methodically and communicate findings clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, scripting, source control, and automated delivery practices.
  • Ability to create clear technical documentation and lead workshops, design reviews, and knowledge-transfer sessions.
