This is your opportunity to bring your skills and experience to an exciting project that is establishing how a currently-unregulated industry will be regulated in New Zealand. As a Senior Operational Policy Analyst in our Operational Design team, you’ll help turn policy into practice— developing the operational policy, systems and processes, and compliance practices that will bring new legislation and regulations to life. What you’ll do: You’ll be part of a team that is: Designing and delivering key regulatory processes, including a licensing system and auction. Developing and implementing a compliance model to monitor and enforce the new regime. Developing and implementing regulatory functions that support channelisation of consumers. Work closely with policy, legal, and technical experts in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. What we’re looking for: Doers with a strong knowledge of regulatory theory and practice. Practical experience developing and delivering operational policy, processes, guidance and other work tools in a regulatory context. Adaptive problem-solvers who thrive in ambiguity and can work at pace in a collaborative programme environment. The Regulatory and Identity Services branch is responsible for regulatory systems and functions related to charities, gambling, anti-money laundering and countering financing of terrorism (AML/CFT), digital safety, passports, civil registries, citizenship and identity management. The branch also delivers identity products and services that enable customers to register their life events, access services from other public and private sector agencies and businesses, and travel seamlessly overseas. The branch has programmes of work and support functions that include data analysis and insights, information sharing, forecasting, systems, service design, risk and assurance, intelligence and investigations, engagement and education, operational policy, product innovation, international product strategy and commercial.
