Downer’s Maintenance & ITS business is expanding its footprint across South Australia, delivering vital road and asset maintenance and construction services across the Barossa, Riverland and South East Regions. With over 5,600 km of sealed road network under management, it’s an exciting time to join a team delivering critical works across the state.   We are seeking a Senior Operational Support Officer to provide high‑level administrative, financial and depot support across multiple sites. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate transactional processing, maintaining compliance, and keeping day‑to‑day operations running smoothly. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy being the backbone that keeps projects moving, this role is for you.   Key Responsibilities * Provide senior-level administrative and operational support to project and depot teams across multiple South Australian locations * Deliver end‑to‑end transactional processing including purchase orders, invoicing, job costing, progress claims and billing * Ensure accurate work order setup, daily shift reporting, and depot-based documentation * Maintain compliance, quality control, archiving and adherence to financial and operational processes * Build strong working relationships with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers * Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency and data accuracy What You’ll Bring * Demonstrated experience in administration, operations support or finance within a fast‑paced or depot-based environment * Strong organisational skills with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail * Experience using ERP systems (JDE/GS, SAP, Oracle or similar) * Ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and high‑volume workflows * Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills * A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and support dispersed teams Downer is a company that believes people are our greatest asset.
