Job Title: Senior Operations Assistant
Location: G3 Prairie West
The Senior Operations Assistant is responsible for performing duties related to handling grain throughout the Elevator, which includes maintaining clean and efficient physical facilities, receiving and handling grain shipments, and providing excellent customer service. This role may oversee work directions for lower level Operations Assistants on a shift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience at an Elevator and/or Terminal;
  • Previous customer service experience is required;
  • Farm or Ag industry experience required

Responsibilities:

  • Complies at all times, and ensures subcontractor complies, with corporate environment, health and safety policies and best practices;
  • Complies with environmental standards and all industry regulatory requirements and grading standards;
  • Plans and supervises junior employees for operation transfers, reception, and expedition, if required;
  • Operates Terminal control systems;
  • Ensures physical facilities are clean, efficient and well-maintained and communicates maintenance needs as required;
  • Receives grain by truck, including weighing and documentation;
  • Samples grain prior to unloading and while transferring in a facility;
  • Supervises and operates grain cleaning equipment to remove dockage;
  • Bins and transfers grain;
  • Applies official grade to shipped and received grain;
  • Ships grain, including handling rail cars and locomotives;
  • Provides friendly/quality customer service to all farmers and commercial truckers;
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
