Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Production Training Excellence Lead, senior operations trainers play a key role in identifying and delivering the competence development requirements of all operations personnel in LNG Canada. This role will be on Shift.
Operations trainers bring with them a wealth of production operations experience and are expected to act as a coach to all new staff joining LNGC operations team and develop their professional competencies in line with the LNGC CD&A requirements.
This operations trainer role will focus on the Process, Common facilities and Utilities areas of LNG Canada.
Operations trainer is also expected to act as a swing resource for production team lead role within the shift as and when required

THIS ROLE REQUIRES THAT YOU:

  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
  • Live in the beautiful District of Stikine (Kitimat/Terrace). For applicants located outside of the region, you are encouraged to explore what Kitimat has to offer in terms of lifestyle including schooling, local amenities, outdoor adventure, and housing, to ensure Kitimat is where you would like to call your new home.
  • Are willing to comply with LNGC’s drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.
  • Line Supervisor for the Production Team Leads
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the Production Team Leads and front-line production teams
  • Are willing to work outdoors during inclement weather in all seasons including heavy snowfall and periods of heavy rain.
  • Can climb ladders and stairs, work at heights and in confined spaces. Plant design conditions provide structures that are significantly taller than common in industry, individuals must be comfortable with heights as well as travel to and from the workface at heights.
  • This is a rotating Salaried Shift work role, where Salary Schedule Allowance will be included on base salary.
