Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Senior Operations Leadership Staff Manager is responsible for the development, execution, and maintenance of Supply Chain manufacturing strategies in partnership with suppliers and GE Aerospace U1 sites in Jacksonville, FL; Norwich, NY; Dayton, OH; and Saltillo, Mexico. This role determines Supply Chain make/buy strategy for new products and reevaluates current products to align with site core competencies and Unison growth objectives.
The selected candidate will represent Supply Chain during reviews, including bid and proposal work, in close collaboration with Commercial, Engineering, and Product Line functions. The Senior Operations Leadership Staff Manager will partner with the Chief Management Engineering (CME) organization and plant leadership on Multigenerational Program Planning (MGPP) and Multigenerational Technical Planning (MGTP) to ensure that process capability and automation initiatives are aligned with future growth plans.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a team of project management professionals with multiple priorities and responsibilities across global sites
  • Create strategies that support and align with business growth objectives for capacity, Property & Equipment (P&E) investments, and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL)
  • Lead major supply chain projects and initiatives, including Project Management activities, substantiation and execution planning, and coordination/communication with leadership
  • Identify growth-related budgetary needs
  • Coordinate with Sourcing on program/part family transitions to other plants and vendors
  • Work closely with Lean Leaders to leverage FLIGHT DECK to design material and process flow for growth programs
  • Establish a reporting status rhythm on strategic and growth programs to the leadership team
  • Provide strategy for overall production line start-ups as they transfer between sites and vendors
  • Support customer visits/calls and travel to sites and critical suppliers as needed
  • Provide leadership and execute on cost competitiveness initiatives
  • Provide expertise to Legal, Compliance, Contracts, Digital Technology (DT), and other functions to resolve wide-ranging business issues as they relate to Supply Chain
