Description:
The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of their assigned operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability. They will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to optimize operations and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. This position will be working closely with both exempt and non-exempt team members to ensure that operations run accordingly.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, engineering, or a related field; or related experience
  • Proven experience in operations management, with at least 4-6 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and logistics
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Daily travel is required between sites

Responsibilities
  • Work with site manager/supervisors to define requirements for operations and ensure the implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Focus on LEAN techniques, quality management processes, and cost control methodologies within the operations to achieve company goals & profit levels; continued business growth; and long-term relationships with customers
  • Manages performance continually; develops associates by providing training and coaching
  • Maintains a safe work environment and fosters a positive team dynamic, resolving employee relations issues and administering corrective action as required
  • Supervises and develops staff and otherwise carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
  • Lead start-up activities with cross functional teams
  • Daily interaction with internal and external customers is required
  • Personnel scheduling to support all shifts and accounts, plan and organize staff workload
  • Maintain documentation of processes that are followed by the department
  • Provide director, managers, peers, and subordinates with information about quality, safety, delivery, cost, and morale
  • Work with strict demands and budgets, so that they can set production schedules.
  • Monitor and adjust labor assignments to align with account requirements
  • Prepare and present quarterly business reviews, focusing on performance trends and strategic initiatives
  • Implement cost saving initiatives to reduce operational expenses
  • Other duties as assigned
