Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Senior Operations Manager is responsible for the Procurement, Planning and Inventory Control functions that support the primary functions to manufacturing. The Senior Operations Manager works collaboratively with functional leaders to meet customer needs and drives process improvements.
This position is part of the Operations department located in Guelph, ON and will be onsite in Guelph, ON.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

• Engineering/Business degree/diploma or related experience.
• Minimum 10 years of Supply Chain or Manufacturing experience.
• At least 3 years of People Management experience
• Continuous improvement experience
• Excellent planning, organizing and analytical skills

• Achieving production Key Performance Indicators (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost) targets through application of VES Lean Fundamentals (5S, Daily Management, Quality System Basis, Standard Work, Problem Solving Process).
• Fostering a stop, think, and speak up environment, driving a Safe, Quality-focused environment.
• Leading Procurement, Planning and Inventory teams to support world class operations and processes through VES and IMAG.
• Ensuring all material required for manufacturing is available at the right time.
• Optimal planning and utilization of all manufacturing cells.
• Ensuring optimized inventory turns and leading the E&O process for operations.
• Consulting and collaborating with Operations Leaders to execute and improve Core Manufacturing Operations systems.
• Identifying and implementing improvement opportunities in lead time, manufacturing cycle times and costs.
