SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5 years of management-level experience in an automated distribution environment, with a strong understanding of both inbound and outbound operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively across all levels of the organization, including executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and confidently with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a results-driven, team-oriented environment through collaboration and accountability.
  • Proven track record of leading and resolving complex projects or operational challenges with practical, scalable solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability to leverage technology to improve reporting and decision-making.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding performance goals related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost control.
  • Proven analytical and planning skills, with the ability to use data to drive strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on leadership environment with shifting priorities and evolving business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for the Louisville Operations team, including oversight of warehouse operations, labor planning, budgeting/P&L, and execution of key initiatives.
  • Manage a high-performing distribution environment that emphasizes clear expectations, accountability, and results-driven performance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and staff to build a motivated, engaged, and capable workforce.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and deliver measurable performance improvements.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve targets for cost-per-unit, productivity, order accuracy, and service levels.
  • Present complex operational concepts and performance insights to executive leadership in a clear and concise manner to support strategic decision-making.
  • Act as a primary liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of shared goals.
  • Collaborate directly with customers on special initiatives, scheduling adjustments, and evolving market needs.
  • Make real-time operational adjustments to meet shifting business demands and optimize output.
  • Manage peak season volume by expanding shifts, reallocating labor, and overseeing a substantial temporary workforce.
  • Implement process improvements by analyzing workflow efficiencies, resource allocation, and customer requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety and maintain a healthy work environment through compliance with company policies and relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all operational activities comply with federal, state, and local laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Drive alignment across the distribution center (DC) management team and cross-functional business partners through strong communication and collaboration.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and customer expectations to continuously evolve and enhance operational effectiveness.
