We are now seeking a Senior Operations Manager to join our leadership team and play a pivotal role in driving performance, growth, and client success.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a strong leader with a proven track record in managing large teams and multiple client contracts within the commercial cleaning or facilities management sector.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years’ senior management experience in cleaning/FM.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage managers.
  • Strong commercial awareness and budgetary control experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver on KPIs, client satisfaction, and service improvements.
  • Solid understanding of TUPE, compliance, and health & safety practices.
  • Highly organised, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will oversee a team of Operations Managers and Account Managers, ensuring Thames Cleaning continues to deliver industry-leading service across our portfolio of prestigious contracts. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated leader who thrives on accountability and is ready to make a measurable impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, mentor, and support Managers and site teams across multiple client contracts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior clients, ensuring service excellence and contract retention.
  • Oversee mobilisation of new small, medium and large-scale contracts, including TUPE, resources, and staffing.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, health & safety regulations, and ISO management systems.
  • Drive performance, efficiency, and profitability across your region.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, and added value for clients.
  • Provide reports and updates directly to the Operations Director and Managing Director.
