We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager, who will be accountable for the delivery of all engineering and project related activity on the Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN) contract. This covers all provision activities within projects, smaller MACD (Move, Add, Change, Delete), maintenance activity, 24/7 support/monitoring and 24/7 fault response for engineers to site.
This is a critical role leading on provision of the technical resources that will deliver and operate end-to-end solutions for the SPEN customer.
The Senior Operations Manager will provide input during the design phase to ensure that proposed solutions are appropriately resourced and potential risks and caveats are identified. Additionally, the role holder will manage all available resources to meet both current and future business demands.
The role holder will also ensure that all available resources will be managed to meet current and future demands of the business.
The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the Professional Services budget allocated to the SPEN customer, as well as demand planning, capacity management and implementing predictable, sustainable and scalable tools and processes.
The right candidate will be a high calibre individual with a background and extensive experience in technology operations for large scale customers. They should be capable of setting the strategy for the team but also be comfortable in operating in a ‘hands on’ fashion with an affinity for the execution phase of each delivery and in life/assure activities.
