Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. The Senior Operations Officer role encompasses a variety of administrative, leadership and technical duties. The role provides guidance, training and coaching to team members on procedural and technical issues as well as providing support to the leader with planning and supervision.
The relative importance of the accountabilities will vary depending upon the focus of either Service or Support as outlined in the performance goals for each function.

Day to day, you’ll:

  • Lead regulatory reporting and other key events liaising and co-ordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that the data is delivered accurately and on time within the legislative or required timeframes.
  • Proactively identify data integrity issues and support root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Drive improvement in the quality of member data and its usage across the Group.
  • Research, analyse and solve legislative, process and system-based issues from the team or wider business unit.
  • Provide training, capability uplift and coaching to team members and the wider business unit.
  • Act as the first point of technical escalation for team members or other Senior Operation Officers to support them in performing their role.
  • Analyse and improve administrative processes and contribute to ongoing business improvement through identification of Continuous Improvement initiatives and ensure implemented improvements are adopted consistently across the team.
  • Ensure procedures accurately reflect best practice and are consistently followed by team members.
  • Support in managing risk in line with the Australian Retirement Trust’s compliance and risk management framework, including efficiently and effectively identifying and resolving incidents and issues to achieve desired business outcomes (including root cause analysis, member impact, control assessment, stakeholder management, and ongoing prevention).
  • Provide knowledge and perform testing to ensure change is fit for purpose.
  • Contribute to a supportive and cohesive team environment.

We currently have multiple permanent opportunities available across multiple teams.
