Description:

The Senior Logistics Planner is responsible for developing and initiating execution of mid- to long-range plans and select programs at the regional and theater-level for the Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS) program. The planner will interact with U.S. Government (USG) counterparts and customers at battalion, brigade, theater-sustainment, theater-headquarters, and Army-Sustainment-Command levels to monitor and assist with curren
t operations and future-operations planning as well as to determine implications for contractor operations within the mid- to long-range planning horizon.
The planner routinely coordinates (internal to Amentum) with site-management offices, current operations, future operations, brigade-liaison sections, and corporate contracting operations to provide and maintain situational awareness of APS missions. The planner routinely participates in Amentum-internal and USG-Amentum in-progress reviews (IPRs), operational planning teams (OPTs), working groups, and updates to effectively coordinate that situational awareness and mission planning.

Responsibilities:

1) Assists in all phases of the development of warning and operations orders as well as comprehensive contingency-operation plans (CONOPS) in support of APS operations. Researches, drafts, and delivers supporting documents, such as multi-disciplined assessment and research documents, mission analysis, staff estimates, or course-of-action and decision briefings that culminate in comprehensive CONOPS.
2) As required, leads teams during pre-deployment site surveys (PDSSs) or other events to determine site capabilities, additional equipment requirements, real-estate requirements, leased MHE/vehicle needs, and utility upgrades.
3) Expected to be a SME in the processes providing mission-essential contract data-requirements list (CDRL) reports to the U.S. Army customer as well as generating other logistic, maintenance, or supply-related reports, charts, graphs, data calls, as required.
4) As required, serves as a subject-matter expert (SME) in unique, multi-disciplined teams that analyze equipment requirements of U.S. military exercises, operations, and training to formulate APS-2 plans, schedules, reporting, and logistical requirements. Leads long-range and near-term planning and operational assessments for Amentum of Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS) activities and operations throughout the European region.
5) Provide accurate, timely, relevant information to the Operations Manager, Deputy Project Manager, Project Manager, USG personnel, or any combination as required.
6) Prepare detailed Amentum plans, policies, and strategies to support the execution of APS operations based on customer needs.
7) Coordinate deployment and redeployment issues with joint, Army, and commercial agencies.
8) Manage reports for APS-2 supply in adjustments to configurations in GCSS-A.
9) Act as the primary communication link for FRAGO/WARNO, OPORD and data reports.
10) Expected to be a quality champion by promoting, teaching, and presenting continuous quality-improvement measures, particularly in relation to Amentum APS-2 policies, processes, standing operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions (WIs). If necessary, provides assistance to functional areas as they achieve and sustain International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 standards.
11) Provide supply/readiness data integrity and validate data entry in GCSS-A.
12) Maintain a daily timesheet ensuring times are accurate.
13) Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested to meet company goals and objectives.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
1) High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
2) 5 years’ experience in operations management or similar experience is required.
3) Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience.
4) At least two years of relevant LIS systems experience along with the ability to provide skilled analysis of data prepared and presented.
5) APS knowledge and experience is preferred.
6) Must have strong organizational and planning skills.
7) Must have basic knowledge in the use of MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook and other related applications, with prior intensive database and data management skills.
8) Must be able to function with an advanced level of English oral and written language skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans and work instructions.
9) Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
10) Must be able to meet and maintain all LIS access requirements (Common Access Card).
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Must be able to qualify for and operate Government provided light vehicles if required. Analytical skills commensurate to the effort. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact well with the customer and with employees at all levels. The appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
Required upon hire: possession of a valid European Driver’s License, Class B Driver’s License.
Stooping, sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds by themselves-51+ with the assistance of another person, touching dexterity (hand and finger), carrying, clear seeing-general, close vision, color perception, clear speech, driving vehicle, moving objects.
Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively up to a 48-hour work week.
Must be able to endure long hours (overtime as required)
May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO.
