In This Position, You Will Have the Opportunity To
- Change over machine configurations to include Form Fill Seal Packaging machines and Automated Assembly Machines
- Perform minor machine adjustments related to changeovers and set ups as required
- Keep turnover notes and data for other Senior Operators and Manufacturing Technicians
- Perform simple Preventive Maintenance tasks for work area according to Periodic Maintenance schedule and properly records information in Periodic Maintenance logs
- As needed, assemble, inspect and package product per work instructions
- Work on production lines approximately 80% of time to produce products
- Effectively teach and train operators to new work instructions
- Must have knowledge and experience in the use of hand tools
- Lead by example to promote and inspire team to excel in exceeding production rates of quality products
- Perform ERP system (IFS) and traveler activities per work instruction: component traceability, label verification, quantity produced, scrap, package seal integrity, equipment or testing verification and line clearance
- Complete paperwork accurately with no errors and shows co-workers how to initiate and complete paperwork
- Troubleshoot systems for issues in manufacturing
- Liaison between operations and maintenance, decides when a Manufacturing Technician should be called
- Maintain proper machine operations throughout manufacturing of orders
- Identify ways to reduce change over times and reports suggestions to Supervisor
- Listen actively and takes direction from Supervisor regarding daily work priorities
- Communicate professionally to teammates when updates are needed in regards to work priorities
- Motivate team through verbal and physical acceptance of changes
- Maintain 5S work environment and ensures order is restored in work area at end of each shift
- Follow Aspen Surgical safety guidelines and procedures when and where required
- Proactively participates in Kaizen events and creating a continuous improvement culture
- Rotate and learn new cells and skills as requests to meet customer demands and personal development goals
- Utilize downtime properly
- Maintain and displays strong attendance habits by being present and on time
- Overtime and weekend work frequently required
What You Need to Succeed in This Position
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Additional certification level education or Associates degree a plus
- Has minimum of 12 months experience in a manufacturing facility or equivalent
- Proficient in verbal and written communication
- Demonstrate proficient computer skills to maintain accurate and efficient data entry into systems
- Ability to foster team work environment through leadership and professional communication skills
- Good mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems
- Display overall team player attitude
