ABOUT YOU:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical processing operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Exposure to fermentation processes and microbial production systems is a plus
• Strong knowledge of DCS operations and process control strategies
• Proven leadership skills with ability to mentor and develop operators
• Excellence in problem-solving and decision-making during normal and abnormal conditions
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean)
• Strong understanding of process safety management principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple departments (maintenance, engineering, quality)
• Knowledge of production scheduling and resource management

As the Lead Operator at our CO2-to-acetic acid fermentation plant, you will provide leadership and technical guidance to the operations team while overseeing daily production activities. You will coordinate shift transitions, implement process improvements, troubleshoot complex operational issues, liaise with maintenance and technical teams, and ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and production standards. You’ll be responsible for developing team capabilities and maintaining operational excellence.
