This role is part of Alcon’s Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.
The Operator II, Production Technical Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path), is primarily responsible for handling complex tasks in production operations, including equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will make resources and monitor quality, requiring technical skills and problem-solving abilities. Specifics include:

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Handle complex manual or operational tasks to ensure smooth and efficient processes
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment
  • Manage resources and schedules to meet specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards
  • Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods
  • Monitor output quality to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
  • Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis
  • Make minor decisions within task scope, requiring technical skills and problem-solving
  • Review work orders, schedule resources, and monitor operations to align with business objectives and drive excellence
  • Adhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs, maintaining documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing training
  • Commit to regulatory compliance, meet individual job requirements, and contribute to organizational compliance and continuous improvement

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous machine operator experience is highly preferred
