The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior or LeadIndustrial Security Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, TX.
The selected candidate will lead a team responsible for ensuring the protection of people, property, and information. In this role, they will set strategy and priorities, manage and mentor team members, allocate resources, and coordinate cross-functionally to deliver effective security outcomes.
Incumbents within this group develop and implement organizational programs and processes that assess security risks, protect company assets and employees, and ensure compliance with applicable government and company regulations. As team lead, the selected candidate will oversee these efforts, monitor program performance, drive continuous improvement, and serve as the security liaison to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
  • 5+ years of experience in Industrial Security
  • 5+ years of experience with government security regulations such as the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
  • Experience working with multiple functional organizations from multiple sites
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree, equivalent work or military experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Industrial Security
  • 10+ years of experience with government security regulations such as the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Experience working with National Industrial Security Procedures and Operations manual (NISPOM) and in National Industrial Security Program (NISP) related security programs
  • Experience in personnel security administration, physical security, communications security and/or other programmatic security-related field
Responsibilities
  • Leads a complex security team and process
  • Executes Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Identifies deficiencies, develops and implements corrective action
  • Communicates results to security management and customers
  • Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Communicates results to security management and customers
  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures
  • Develops, implements and administers an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on large and/or complex programs
  • Establishes and implements a security awareness training and education program to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
  • Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements
  • Performs Sub-Contractor Management to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements
  • Communicates results to security management and customers
  • Participates, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT)
