Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Core DBA with a strong background in Oracle Database administration, high availability, disaster recovery, database performance optimization, and replication technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing mission-critical production environments and be capable of independently implementing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and supporting Oracle database infrastructure. Experience with MySQL administration and clustering is also required.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Database environments.
• Manage Oracle RAC environments, including installation, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Design, implement, and administer Oracle Data Guard (Physical/Logical Standby) for Disaster Recovery.
• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate (Classic Architecture and Microservices Architecture).
• Perform database performance tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Tuning Advisor, and execution plan analysis.
• Monitor and optimize SQL performance, database resources, memory, storage, and I/O.
• Perform Oracle database patching, Release Updates (RU), upgrades, and migration activities.
• Execute backup and recovery using RMAN and validate recovery procedures.
• Perform database cloning, Data Pump export/import, and database refresh activities.
• Administer ASM, Oracle Clusterware, Oracle Grid Infrastructure, and Oracle Restart environments.
• Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot MySQL databases.
• Implement and manage MySQL Replication and MySQL Cluster solutions.
• Develop automation scripts using Shell, SQL, or Python to simplify routine DBA activities.
• Perform root cause analysis for database incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams during project implementation and production support.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery documentation.
• Participate in planned maintenance activities and provide on-call support when required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Core DBA.
• Strong experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
• Experience in Oracle database upgrades, migrations, patching, and high-availability solutions.
• Experience administering both Oracle and MySQL database environments.

Preferred Certifications

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
• Oracle Certified Master (OCM) – Preferred
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Certification – Preferred
• MySQL Database Administrator Certification – Preferred
