As a Senior Oracle Database Engineer, you will be joining the Cigna technology team that is responsible for building and maintaining .Net based applications and services supporting the Middle East region and Health Services businesses. Working as a member of an agile team, you’ll be responsible for supporting our Oracle database and Oracle Fusion implementations that are hosted internally and in the Oracle cloud environment.

• Managing installations of Oracle database, RAC, dataguard and Golden Gate on various platforms.
• Install, maintain and manage instances of Oracle database in the OCI cloud environment.
• Define, implement and manage security controls to ensure the safety and availability of Cigna’s data within the Oracle database environments
• Ensure product versions remain current and security patching is completed on time
• Monitor and take action as necessary to ensure the database remains healthy and unplanned downtime is avoided
• Support the applications and product teams with schema setup, load balancing, failover and connection management.
• Perform troubleshooting as needed alongside application teams for incident/problem management
• Proactively monitor and maintain the system, continually tuning for performance.
