We are seeking a dynamic Senior Oracle DBA to join our DE&ET Data Stores team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in Oracle with over 4 years of experience
  • In-depth understanding of core Oracle concepts and architecture
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Background in supporting and developing applications with the ability to communicate effectively in English at an upper-intermediate level (B2 or higher)
  • Expertise in GoldenGate, Exadata, and RAC technologies
  • Competency in managing Linux/Unix server environments
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) principles, specifically with Jenkins and GitLab
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and maintain Oracle databases to meet business requirements
  • Support database migrations between on-premises and cloud environments, leveraging flexibility to work with various platforms
  • Analyze data access patterns to identify and address hotspots and bottlenecks
  • Assist developers by designing and reviewing data models and planning high performing queries
  • Establish and define best practices for Oracle database management, including configuration and monitoring health
  • Manage the storage capacity of database clusters, assisting in planning for growth based on project projections
  • Provide diagnostic support and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring reliability and optimal performance
