Job Description:

Required Experience:

THE EXPERTISE AND SKILLS YOU BRING:

• Ability to analyze, design and support implementation of Oracle PL/SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Views, create/alter database tables and PL/SQL collections based on business requirements and specifications
• Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt easily to change.
• Experience writing advanced Oracle SQL and PL/SQL on large Oracle databases version 12c (currently on 19c) and above on RAC (Real Application Clusters) and EXADATA platforms.
• Ability to translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications.
• Experience with Functional Programming.
• Highly competent working with large data transfers, batch processing and writing highly scalable and performant SQL and PL/SQL code.
• Proficient in Table partitioning and Indexing strategies.
• Experience creating, managing, and developing using Oracle Advanced Queues.
• Data analysis skills to debug, trace and fix performance and production issues.
• Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and experience in database modelling of OLTP systems.
• Strong experience with SQL and PL/SQL tuning. Not limited to running explain plans and adding query hints.
• Experience writing automated PL/SQL unit tests using frameworks like utPLSql.
• Proficient in version control tools like GIT to manage versions of scripts.
• Experience working with CICD tools and managing automated deployments and builds for databases.
• Process and detailed oriented. Ability to do perform code reviews and mentor junior developers on technical skills.
• Must have good English written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work from home productively.
• Able to work extended hours during critical deliveries.
• Plus: Knowledge or Experience working in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Services (Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle BI Publisher, OpenSearch (ElasticSearch)).
• Plus: Knowledge and capabilities with other software technologies. (Java, Python, Control-M, shell scripting, docker, Jira, Confluence).

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of plsql design and development related experience.

• Resource to design, develop, maintain, and test software, collaborating with the DBA, development team and business partners to ensure successful delivery and implementation of application solutions in an agile environment.
• Should be hands on and able to successfully deliver on time and budget.
• Must be able to interact and co-ordinate with distributed teams onshore and offshore.
• Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
• This individual will work with the team to optimize SQL statements as necessary and establish best practices.
• Document process flows and create Wiki documents to be utilized by development teams.
• Production support and maintenance of database software.
• Participates in design and code reviews
• Mentoring juniors in the project team
