The Senior OT Engineer plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between manufacturing facility engineering teams and corporate IT Engineering & Architecture teams. This role is focused on enhancing Operational Technology (OT) security, network segmentation, and secure remote access, ensuring manufacturing systems remain safe, secure, and resilient.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Deep understanding of OT & IT network segmentation
  • Proficiency in security protocols and threat detection tools
  • Experience managing PLCs and OT sensors
  • Expertise in OT architecture design & implementation
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Claroty for security management
    Job Type: Contract
    Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • OT Security & Risk Management
  • Conduct site assessments (health checks) to identify OT security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Present findings and recommendations to site, business unit, and IT leadership.
  • Track OT asset inventories, manage end-of-life assets, and monitor network activities for anomalies.
  • Network & System Security
  • Implement network segmentation strategies to prevent cyber threats from spreading across operational environments.
  • Monitor OT networks and control systems to maintain security and uptime.
  • Use firewalls, Claroty, and OT sensors for enhanced security management.
  • Threat Detection & Vulnerability Management
  • Prioritize and respond to real-time security alerts.
  • Utilize detection engines to monitor system integrity and potential cyber threats.
  • Leverage tools like Claroty to map attack vectors and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Act as a liaison between IT, OT, and site engineering teams to align security initiatives with business goals.
  • Work closely with business unit leaders and IT teams to ensure security strategies support overall manufacturing objectives.
